Die Monographie Ganz zeigt die Orte, zeigt, wie da fein gewoben und gewirkt wird und wie die Balance vom Treibenlassen und Gehenlassen der Natur und dem Walten des Gestalters immer wieder neu austariert wird. Ein wunderschöner Spaziergang.

Ich habe jetzt langsam begonnen in das Buch einzutauchen – und dabei die Bilder nach Stimmung durchstreift und die Texte wahllos gelesen. Ich kann fühlen, wie dein Herz und dein Verstand aus den Seiten hervorgeht. So ein schönes Dokument, ich werde dieses im Laufe der Zeit regelmäßig besuchen, so wie eine schöne Landschaft.

Wie im Atelier eines Künstlers - Jürg Altherr kommt mir in den Sinn - zeigt sich am Susenberg die gesamte Ganz’sche Gärtnerseele: die Liebe zu den Pflanzen, die, nur scheinbar chaotisch, in diesem grünen Idyll zusammenleben. Mit seinem Garten, wie er ihn uns zeigt, öffnet er für mich ein Fenster zum Landschaftsarchitekten Ganz.

Das Buch ist toll! Anregend, vielschichtig, eigenständig und behutsam gibt es Einblicke in eine Welt die Lust macht, mehr zu entdecken (l’avventura di guardare comincia …).

I’ve now started the slow immersion in the book - grazing the images for mood and reading texts almost at random. I can already feel your heart and mind emerging from the pages. Such a beautiful document which will reward regular visits over time like a good landscape.

The photographs of the gardens, such those as Carl Jung's garden, reveal the world’s changeability through its seasonal cycles of time. The thin layer of snow that covers all the garden’s forms veils something intimate: the garden is animated and eroticised, like one of Lucas Cranach’s paintings of Venus, whose body is lightly shrouded by a gossamer veil, arousing more desire than her naked form alone. Sounds are muffled by the veil of snow. There is a smell of winter and it’s soft underfoot.
